I\'m listening to this alone in a deserted house at 2.ģ0 in the afternoon, and it just makes me want to be out getting drunk in a dingy club surrounded by rubber-clad fetish sluts at 2.ģ0 in the morning! I bet Immune System would be good to see live, and in fact they're on tour at the moment, so this may not be an impossible dream. The final track, 'Posttard', is a monstrously noisy two-minute workout, followed by several minutes of silence and a Satanic ritual. Guitars, sirens, massive beats, Joy Division samples, funky basslines and lashings of noise. Fortunately, Immune System have appointed themselves keepers of the holy flame. This is industrial metal constructed to the specifications laid out in the late 80s / early 90s blueprint of such groups as Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Foetus, Pigface etc. Immune System is a pretty obscure project, and I don't have a lot of information to hand, but I do know they've been booted off MySpace a couple of times, which is generally a sign of someone doing something pretty interesting. It has been known to cause other cds in the vicinity to actually close their holes in shame and refuse to play. But a word of warning: \"Phallusuberalles\" is a powerful and volatile musical document. \"Phallusuberalles\" expands on IMMUNE SYSTEM\'s patented industrial stomp that has helped make the band an underground phenomenon, but it also presents several slick, sadistic dance tracks. \"Phallusuberalles\" is the follow up to the band\'s debut release, \"Weltanschauung,\" which garnered strong internet radio play and gained fans from across the globe. Since its inception, IMMUNE SYSTEM has defied the rigid confines of the tired \"industrial scene,\" leaving a trail of trendsters, hipsters and poseurs in its wake. The albums release is often seen as a pivotal point in the history of rock music, and comparisons are sometimes made with Radioheads 1997 album OK Computer, including a premise explored by Ben Schleifer in Speak to Me: The Legacy of Pink Floyds The Dark Side of the Moon (2006) that the two albums share a theme that 'the creative individual.
